Girona, September 21, 2021 - About a month and a half after its opening on August 10, the Àltima Gironès Funeral Home and Crematorium has hosted a visit from the Bishop of Girona, Mons. Francesc Pardo i Artigas, in an event to tour the various spaces of the new funeral facility. During the visit, the Bishop blessed the center, accompanied by the company’s representatives in the Girona province.
The first Àltima funeral facility in Girona is located at Can Pau Birol Street, 19-21, in the Mas Xirgu industrial park of the city. It represents a new funeral service option available to the public. It integrates all services into a single two-story building of 1,246 square meters, which includes three independent and fully equipped viewing rooms, a multi-confessional chapel with seating for 154 people, a cafeteria, offices, and spaces for family support, and cremation services. The exterior parking lot, shaded by trees, has capacity for 102 vehicles and includes 4 charging points for electric cars.
The new center provides coverage to the entire city and surrounding municipalities, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to any user in need of its services, regardless of whether they have death insurance. Àltima thus expands its presence in the Girona province, where it already has three other funeral homes located in Ripoll, Figueres, and Llançà.
