The Ronda de Dalt Funeral Home in Barcelona is equipped with everything families need to give their loved one the farewell they deserve. We provide all the services families may need within our facilities, which span 16,000 m² distributed across five floors:

• Twenty wake rooms.

• Cafeteria and restaurant service.

• Florist.

• Two multi-confessional oratories, one with capacity for 230 and another for over 400 people.

• An immersive space.

• Assisted intervention dogs.

• A children's room.

In addition, we offer landscaped areas where visitors can take a moment to breathe in the fresh air.

We also have an office at Vall d’Hebron Hospital.

Wake

In our twenty wake rooms at Ronda de Dalt we have a wide variety of services for family and friends who wish to visit to say goodbye to their loved ones:

• Private bathroom.

• Wardrobe.

• Coffee and water available.

• Direct dial telephone.

The rooms feature natural light to create a warmer, more welcoming atmosphere. If the family is very large, there is a room that can be combined with another to form a large room, providing additional space.

Immersive room: Refugi de l'ànima

Refugi de l’ànima is an immersive room designed to offer a space of calm, reflection, and privacy during the farewell. Through a carefully curated combination of evocative imagery and personalized music, it creates a sensory experience that invites remembrance and introspection.A warm and welcoming environment, separate from the visitation rooms, thoughtfully created to support families and honor the memory of their loved one in a more serene and meaningful way.

Assisted intervention dogs

This initiative is led by trained professionals who ensure the well-being of both the families and the animals. The dogs participate during controlled sessions on Wednesday afternoons, always accompanied by their dedicated handler, with whom they share a trusted bond that guarantees respectful and appropriate interventions. They do not access the visitation rooms (only if families authorize it); instead, they remain in common areas, offering discreet support to those who wish to receive it.

Dog-assisted therapy can be especially meaningful for children, older adults, or individuals who find it difficult to express their grief, as interaction with the animal facilitates emotional release, provides calm, and helps people navigate the grieving process in a more humane and supportive way.

This initiative is based on an inclusive approach to bereavement support, recognizing that each person experiences loss differently and that, at times, a quiet and affectionate presence can be just as valuable as verbal support.

Children’s room: Petit planeta

Petit Planeta is a space designed specifically for children who accompany their families at the funeral home. It was created with the aim of offering a safe, welcoming environment adapted to their emotional and developmental needs during an especially delicate time. The space provides children with a place where they can experience the moment in a gentler way, in keeping with their age and sensitivity.At the same time, this area allows families to rely on an environment that also looks after children’s well-being, helping to ease tension and foster a calmer, more serene shared grieving process.

Access to Petit Planeta is open to families who may need it. This initiative reflects a more human and inclusive approach to farewell spaces, recognizing that bereavement support must take into account all stages of life and adapt to the different ways people experience and express loss.
