Memorial de la Lluna is a unique and innovative urban columbarium created to offer families a welcoming space in which to pay a personalized tribute to their loved ones.
Inaugurated in 2025 and located on the second floor of the Vilanova i la Geltrú Funeral Home, this new space combines tradition, technology, and emotional sensitivity, becoming a refuge for memories where heartfelt homage can be paid to those who remain forever present in our remembrance.

The space features a tribute room designed for farewells, personalized ceremonies, and commemorative events. It is equipped with audiovisual media, music, and a celebrant service, and is designed to be configured flexibly to adapt to the needs and wishes of each family.
The Memorial de la Lluna offers different types of columbaria, created to meet the needs and preferences of every family:

16 glass columbaria equipped with OLED screens, allowing for personalized displays with photographs and videos.

98 columbaria with glass plaques, which preserve the memory of those who have passed by allowing the placement of personal and commemorative items.

194 stone columbaria, both indoor and outdoor.
The name “Memorial de la Lluna” is inspired by a popular legend from Vilanova i la Geltrú. It tells the story of a fisherman who, night after night, tried to capture the reflection of the moon in the sea within his basket. This symbol of longing and perseverance represents the philosophy of the columbarium: a refuge for memories and a place of connection with those who, although no longer physically present, continue to live on in memory and in the heart.
